Come make an impact in the lives of low-income and first-generation junior high and high school students with TRIO Destination College! The program provides academic, career, and financial counseling and promotes graduation from high school and pursuit of post-secondary education.
The Director monitors all aspects of the TRIO Talent Search Program, has full authority to ensure that the project goals and institutional goals regarding the project are met, and responsible for ensuring that the grant guidelines are followed. The Director is employed 100% under the TRIO Talent Search Grant, operating as TRIO Destination College. At least three years of experience designing, managing or implementing programs for disadvantaged youth required. Demonstrated teaching and/or counseling experience, sensitivity to the needs of disadvantaged students, and ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds required. Prefer an individual with background similar to the target population and knowledge/experience with Talent Search or other TRiO programs.
