The Academic Counselor/Operations Coordinator provides oversight as well as academic, career, personal, and learning skills advising to a caseload of TRIO Student Support Services (SSS) program participants. This position plays a key role in helping to ensure grant performance objectives are met and educationally and/or economically disadvantaged students are effectively accessing college resources and programmatic services to improve their academic progress. These efforts include student development, learning, advocacy, and success through the implementation of the Student Support Services program and functions as the primary resource for assisting SSS participants in developing learning skills and success strategies/habits.
Augustana College is a private, selective, residential college of the liberal arts and sciences with enrollment of 2,400 students. Our beautiful residential 115-acre campus is located in Rock Island, Illinois, part of the Quad Cities metropolitan area along the Mississippi River, 165 miles west of Chicago.
