The UBMS Academic Coordinator assists in the development and implementation of program goals and objectives; participates in selection and evaluation of staff; recruits and identifies program participants; aids in identifying and meeting academic needs of participants; counsels and advises participants; instructs assigned classes; manages Supplemental Instruction sessions; coordinates college visits; assists with operation of a robotics team; serves as liaison to University and community agency representatives; produces quarterly newsletters and maintains electronic media; assists with designing and implementing summer programming; conducts ACT preparation workshops and classification meetings; works with prospective post-secondary students in the completion of applications and financial aid forms; and compiles program information.
